The Beginning The creation of Drunken Peasant Films came about after Stefan and I made our first ever stop-motion film using legos. It was an experience that launched me into a film creating frenzy. The first film we ever created was entitled Romulus and Remus, where we told the story of the ancient Roman mythological heroes and how they founded Rome. One day after school, in early November of 2004, Stefan and I had a major history project due the following day. We then decided that we should create a film, using legos to do it. At the time, I had been familiar with the concept of stop-motion animation but had never really attempted to do it. We assembled our legos and my Sony Mini-DV Camera and began to record our film at a frame rate of four frames per second. After eleven hours of straight work it was two in the morning and the filming was complete. Ever since then I have been creating more films stop-motion and live action, always improving my technique. Here's the movie that started it all, Romulus and Remus (Size: 10.3mb, RT: 4:00). |
